3 Reasons why I may switch from HeidiSQL...

First off I really like many features about HeidiSQL and use it most of the time, there are 3 things though that are making me think about switching:

1. When running long queries it locks up my entire system.
2. When remoting in I can't set the default action on the query button to "run selection" instead of "run" normally I have many queries on the screen and waiting for the screen refresh on that drop down is a killer when you have to run 50-60 queries.
3. You can't just copy and paste all the items in the results window. For instance if I run "show grants for 'XXX'@'10.%'" I can't just copy the results paste them into the query window and find/replace the subnet, I have to copy it as something else like insert statements, again not a big deal sometimes but when i am trying to add a subnet to a user across 10-15 servers with different permisions and schemas on each server it is a huge pain in the a$$ and I end up switching back to WorkBench.

1. Your entire system locks up? Can't believe that. If you have the original 6.0 release you may see Heidi is locked because it does not run threads - which the latest build has, so maybe you are not running a build with threads?

2. Ok, I always thought the quicker people use shortcuts - these are usable. However, I think I could make the default button action configurable with a checkbox option in the preferences dialog.

3. Copying rows is done easily with that "export grid rows" dialog. I don't see some way which could be much easier. Having some "copy rows" and "paste rows" feature is something you ask for if I understand right. Think of the implementation and how horrible this peace of code would look like, please.

3. Does Workbench provide such a "copy rows" and "paste rows" feature?
