Data tab by default

I use heidisql mainly to view my data. Therefore, I would like the program to open up with the 'Data' front and center. Is there a command that allows me to do this?

Not yet.

I could go and remember the last opened tab of the two "Table" and "Data". Whatever the last tab was, HeidiSQL could open that for the next table you open up with a double-click.

I assume we're talking about the double-click in the "Database" tab, do we?

I select the table, and then the table within the database. The initial screen is the database structure, but what I want as the initial screen is the "Data" tab activated so the data shows. (It's the tab to the immediate right of the Table: (name) tab.

Can that be done?

You are mixing the word "database" with "table" and vice versa.

I guess you open a table per double click within the Database tab, right? And that's where you want the "Data" tab to be opened instead of the "Table:..." tab, right?

This would be a nice improvement in usability.
Most often you really want to view the data first.

Yes, agree.

Please notice one thing: if you have the "Data" tab opened, it will stay opened if you select a different table. It's just that you get into the "Table" tab again when you doubleclick another table from within the "Database" tab. As said above - I am planning to remember the last opened tab for tables (table or data), and use that for the next doubleclick.

There is one new issue we would run into with this "remember default tab" thing: If you had a WHERE filter on a table which causes a very long during query, you won't be able to use the right-click feature "Reset data filter" any longer. The data tab would open up immediately when you rightclick that table again, so you'll be stuck here. That's not nice. We should aim to get a solution for disabling long during filters before adding this data-tab-by-default thing.
