Hello I want link the tables from a database which is already in HeidiSQL into a Microsoft Access database. I am trying to do it through an ODBC connection, but unsuccessfully.

Is there a way to do it, please?

Many thanks

Not with HeidiSQL I'm afraid.

This is not true!!!

I found the way and I have all the tables in my access database I downloaded MariaDB ODBC driver 32 and 64bit, create a connection in My settings/services and than linked extrenal dat via Access through ODBC (source system: the ODBC connection for MariaDB, I previously created, appeared under the list).

Well, I'm quite sure you were not using HeidiSQL for doing so :)

Hi, I'm not it's exactly the same topic... We've bought a software running under an old version of mySql (3.2.23). And I have to connect to the database to make some changes (after loading the software, some columns were inverted, ..). After try this with many msSql customers ( :) ), I've found HeidiSql... Super, even with this version of mySql, it works very fine ! ! ! Thank you Heidi :) Now the next step, I have to build a small app to permit users to read the database and make some calculations (for example in Python, with an ODBC in control panel). As you said, I've tried to install the ODBC of "MariaDb". V2 in 64, V2 in 32, V1 in 64.... Each time I get the error message "[ma-1.0.6] You have an error in your SQL syntax near 'SQL_AUTO_IS_NULL=0' at line 1. This is exactly the message I got with other Sql customers as Heidi. I'm sure Heidi uses a special way to connect, dependant on the mySql version.
