Clarifying scope & capabilities of events

I don't have much experience in HeidiSQL and would just like some clarification on scheduled events as the documentation is a little slim on this subject.

It's my understanding that scheduling an event within HeidiSQL is used exclusively for DBA-type operations, e.g. inserting, updating, or deleting records, and a scheduled event cannot be used for anything outside the realm of SQL (for example exporting a result set to CSV).

Is this correct? Any feedback welcome.
