Question about import/export

I have a remote database and a local one. I want to import the database to my local computer, meaning I have to export from the remote one.

Heidi offers me to export the database as an .sql file, but says it can import only .CSV files.

My database is large, so it seems silly to C/P 1000000 rows... How can I export/import what I need?
