i wrote the portable launcher for heidisql and i like to share it.

i would like to know if developers of heidisql have interest on this launcher.

i can support this on future upgrades of heidisql.

I could set up a subdomain on heidisql.com which redirects to the page where the launcher can be downloaded. The link should also appear in the menu on the left.

How does that sound? Any suggestions?

have you a splash screen to use on portable launcher? if no, i can use the logo of this homepage (top left corner).

cai i send the launcher to you, and you put on your existing account of heidisql on sourceforge.net?

If you which I can send you a TIFF-version of that logo. But normally that PNG should do the job as well.

This launcher is based on template created by Karl Loncarek and modified by me.

before launch heidisql, a backup of current registry is made, and after the program's close, the registry is restored again.
if exists a local registry of heidisql, this is not deleted.

At the request of Anse, I've created a portableapps.com version of HeidiSQL. Given the portableapps.com format, no traces will be left behind on your system, nor will it interfere with an existing install.
