Heidy crashes on Ununtu 10.10 Wine 1.3

I love working in heidy on my windows machine at work, but I would like to work in Heidy on my Ubuntu machine too. But it does not seem to work :-( I can run heidy , but when I try to connect to my remote databases it just crashes. Problem solved - seems to be an installation error. I downloaded it all once more and reinstalled wine and heidysql and now it work ok. |

Hi, i tryed to install Heidi on Wine 1.3 and it doesn't work. Switching back to 1.2 was in my case the solution. Greetings Leo |

Same here. Kubuntu 11.10 with wine 1.3 HeidiSQL 6.0 stable crashes on startup. With wine 1.2 it works fine |

You can get the latest stable version of Wine (which fixes this crash) from the official WineHQ PPA repository: http://www.winehq.org/download/ubuntu Basically just:

Yeah ! It works fine with Wine 1.33. To install it I had to do a "apt-get install wine1.3" (which remove wine1.2) The look of the application is nice with it :) If the application does not start the first time after the install, launch winecfg. |
