32 bit on Windows XP

Trying to install on Windows XP. The installer is giving an error "Not a 32 bit application"

Any help would be appreciated.

I think the installer (InnoSetup) no longer supports Windows XP. Please note the download page does not include XP in the compatible OS list.

I highly discourage from using HeidiSQL on outdated systems.

Ansgar, Thanks for your advice. When you say 'discourage', you give me hope that there is still a way. Could you please let me know how it can be done.

We are using XP for a very specific reason and we would be greatful if you could provide a solution. Danke im Voraus.

Ansgar, The 'portable' installation produces an error in HeidiSQL when run on XP.
