Pressing P key while typing column name triggers paste

While creating/editing the name of a column name for a table if I press the 'p' key (without any modifier keys) the program triggers a paste. I went through the entire keyboard shortcut preferences and found no letter options trigger without a modifier key in combination. I'm running the latest stable version (10.2.0.5599). I can technically work around this (type the name in a text editor, cut and paste it manually) though it's really obnoxious. Is this a known issue?

Typing the alphabet in order the following happens:

Column Name:

  • abdefghijklmno[p=paste]
  • qrst[u=undo]
  • vwxyz

Table Name (normal):

  • abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz

No, this is not a known one yet. For me here I cannot reproduce it.

Does the "Edit" main menu show normal keyboard shortcuts?

What Windows version is it, or maybe Wine?

I found a similar though different one: issue #592 . Maybe you could also post your problem there and ask the others if they can reproduce it.

This install was an update over an alpha you helped me out with in regards to the toolbars. Is it possible that is where the issue stems from?

If I do a clean install will the toolbar text labels still work (Presuming I don't remove them from the registry)?

I never removed the registry hack for enlarging the toolbar buttons, so they should still work.

You could of course try out to remove the registry value and see if that solves your shortcut issue.
