libmysql-6.1.dll HeidiSQL 11.0.0.5919

I have Windows7 32bit and 64bit virtual computers aranged tiled.

Both do have HeidiSQL same installation, not portable, installed by downloaded exe. same ini-file.

When connecting to MariaDB 10.4.11 the 32bit has connected well. The 64 bit has reported error, you may see on screenshots.

I have copied the lib file from 32bit into 64bit and did not connect. I have copied the lib from 64bit into 32 bit, to try, and did not connect.

On screenshots you may see 2 virtual computer windows aranged tiled. Screenshots A, B are demonstrating connection.

All installed dlls are specific to the 32 or 64 bit version of heidisql.exe. You cannot expect a 32bit dll to run with a 64bit exe. The error message on your screenshot says exactly the same.

Well, I am not expecting such crossover.

I have installed on Win7 64x current HeidiSQL_11.0.0.5919_Setup.exe

The only problem I am reporting here is that DLL from install package is not connecting on 64 bit Win 7.

Ok, sorry - I misunderstood your report above.

I have no problems with that libmysql-6.1.dll here on Win10/64bit, and it's the first time I hear of such an error with it, since I introduced in in July 2019.

Do the other options from the Library dropdown work?

libmysql.dll, libmariadb.dll

Both are connecting well to server and reporting SSL message attached.

On the same Mariadb server the 32bit version does not report this message.

Ok, not sure why the 64bit libmariadb behaves differently. Various connectivity issues were the reason why I introduced the alternatives.
