Loading Binary Files

Typically I use programming to do this but for a change I am trying to load a binary file through HeidiSQL without success. The error itself is rather vague and does not indicate how to proceed so how can I import the binary file?

The editor for binary fields in HeidiSQL has some bugs. But you could create new rows using the dialog under Tools > "Insert files into TEXT/BLOB field":

I saw that comment or hint but had no idea what it meant or where to apply it! I'll give it a try.
