Looking for trigger firing in logs...

and not seeing the trigger run, so look in logs to see whats up and its not there either

do trigger queries log? if so under which levels?

Not in HeidiSQL. Not sure, but probably in some server log file.

A trigger is internally automatically executed somewhere on the server, totally independent of what client you are using. But I think the servers binlog should contain what triggers execute.
