anse, how about option for change font style & size in the VirtualTree's?

... in the all VT's including Databases/Tables tree, Host/Database and all other VT's/

The data and query grids already have such an option. See Tools > Preferences > Data.

All other trees and lists are part of the "normal" GUI, which automatically uses the system font from your Windows settings. So, in XP this is Tahoma, Win7 shows Segoe and so on. If you want to have another font, modify your Windows font setting and restart HeidiSQL.

"normal" GUI ended 6 days ago (r4407).
Thanks, anse.

Does that mean what I did in r4407 does not work on your side?

I mean what changing font to the default system font with no option for change it - it's very bad solution.

We work with large volumes of information in Heidi and it would be nice to be able to customize the display of the data to your liking.
These are not only the contents of tables and queries - this is also a tree of databases and tables, table structure, server settings, the log of current queries - it's ALL other copies of VT.

The default system font good for menus, forms, buttons captions... but not for a data.

Just imagine for a second that MS Word does not give you the ability to choose a font style for the document because MS thinks it's "absolutely unprofessional".

Hey, using the system font is a highly common thing in software. Please stop crying and start pointing out arguments, man.

Btw, the SQL editors font (including that for the query log) is also customizable - you probably also did not see that. See Tools > Preferences > SQL.

I see that, but I'm talking about all others VT's too.

This is not argument?

no, this is not argument. the only thing that your are effectively saying in this parapgraph is "we would like to do x".

This is - elementary logic. What other arguments you wish to see?
Heidi with each new release becomes even more functional and less comfortable in GUI.
