SQL box isn't resized when the results grid is resized

It used to work, but since the last time I updated, it does not anymore. I'll attach a screen print.

This is a bug.

If you open a brand new instance of heidisql, adjust the default query tab's height BEFORE adding a new query tab, you will then be able to adjust the height of subsequent query tabs.

teells85, you're right, the bug only happens when you open a new query tab and try to resize it. If you first resize the default query tab, all next new tabs will be resizable. Thanks for pointing that out.

Works here perfectly, for the second tab I open, regardless of the first tab having a result or not. Please report back with an exact reproduction recipe.
rodrigo.vasconcellos's profile image rodrigo.vasconcellos posted 7 years ago Permalink
1. Open HeidiSQL
2. Choose some database
3. Before *any* other action, click the button that creates a new query tab
4. When you resize this newly created tab, you'll see the bug happening as seen in the screenshot I attached in the first post.

If, at any time, you click the default query tab then all new query tabs created can be resized correctly.

This issue is also happening to me. Before I seen this post, I made a duplicate post here -> http://www.heidisql.com/forum.php?t=18947#p18951

I am running 9.2.0.4977 on windows 8.1 64 bit.

This happens to me as well, exactly as @rodrigo reported it: when clicking on the "new tab" button is my first action, no new query tabs are properly resizable, but when I first go to the Query tab, they are. I'm running 9.3.0.4984 on Windows 7 64-bit.

The issue with this annoying bug is actual.

Should be fixed finally, in r5015.

Awesome!

The issue of inability to resize the tool box (Columns, SQL Columns, ...) only occurs in the first additional query box. The original one (Query 1) and all others Query 3, 4, ...) are all ok. It is only Query 2 which is impacted.

Are you using the latest build, or ...?

Using 5022

Here are the examples showing the missing resize bar on Query 2

Also noticed that all of the query boxes do not resize at the bottom - except the original Query 1 which works ok. They create a grey space when resized but do not increase the height of the box.

OK, copy from other topic:

Still have a problem. First query opens correctly. All other open with 150px height and size of query can't be changed.

case when first query is smaller than 150px then all is OK.

If first query is more than 150px we have a problem with each new query tab

latest r5022 update.

Yes, see it now. Will check that.

Prevent various problems with alignment of controls. See http://www.heidisql.com/forum.php?t=18924
ansgar's profile image ansgar posted 7 years ago Permalink

r5023 should finally, hopefully, fix that all.

jamesvl's profile image jamesvl posted 7 years ago Permalink

r5023 seems to have fixed it for me. (Had same issues as others w/ 5022 and before)

rogerlayton's profile image rogerlayton posted 7 years ago Permalink

Thanks - working perfectly with r5023.
