Schedule backups/exports

Hi I am new to this forum, and I am not a "database person", I get around, but no expert at all :) I have been using HeidiSQL for a long time now, to simple maintenances jobs for my opencart shops, and I love it. I got a few db's to maintain, some are "live shops" and some are test shops, to test out new extensions for opencart before going live. Some are local install, some are on my hosting provider, some on Linux and some on windows.

What I miss is a feature for scheduling backups/exports of complete databases so that I can have an archive of roll-back options of selected databases, for now I do this manually, but i really would like to hand this off to an automatic feature :) If not a complete schedule feature, it would be helpful to have a feature to generate a script file for use in i.e. windows task scheduler or something.

Well that is what I wanted to say, and keep up the great work on HeidiSQL :)

Have a nice day Freakshow

Well you're not the first one asking for an export scheduler in HeidiSQL. My idea is that that scheduled exports are a perfect task for command line programs, namely the mysqldump utility. Although HeidiSQL supports a handful of command line parameters, HeidiSQL is a GUI, not a command line application.
