I've been recently looking for something that could serve as good replacement for SQL Management Studio. I need a rather simple query tool with ability to export results in a quick way. HeidiSQL is generally more than enough to serve that purpose, but it lacks one essential, indispensable feature! I can't even imagine how that could have happened! ;)
Basically I desperately need a way to call just current query in a way that Oracle tools do (such as Toad).
HeidiSQL is kinda close in how it works, but it's not there yet. So here are feature requests:
- it should be possible to specify more than one query separator. What I need is a semicolon and a blank line (whichever comes first) -- and it should be noted that line with some whitespace characters should be considered empty in this case;
- a mode that allows executing just current query should get additional optional setting: so that if any text is selected then that whole text (and only that text) is a subject for execution (if where are many queries there, separated by a semicolon, then they should all be executed)
This is the way it works in Toad and it's really useful!
Thanks!
