Does Heidi work with Azure Active Directory Authentication

As the title asks. We're implementing AD Authentication, for better accountability. Does Heidi support this?

If you're on MSSQL, HeidiSQL supports Windows authentication:

I'm not sure if that is also compatible to AD authentication. Just try it?

No, Azure doesn't support Windows Authentication. Not that I've managed to get to work anyway. I'll keep trying anyway, add anything I find.

Hi Ansgar, has there been any progress on implementing AzureAD logins? To remind you, this is not Windows Authentication.

No, there is no request in the tracker, and I could not find some specification on how to pass credentials with the OLE driver HeidiSQL uses.

You can strengthen authentication by using adfs authentication on 2FA parameters which in turn provides generation of one-time passwords using security tokens. This approach makes azure adfs unique in its kind, and most importantly reliable and versatile.

We already have 2FA with our AD Logins. Thank you.
