Is it possible to edit field in table data grid editor just on focus without pressing Enter or F2?

I want to enter several new rows in a table as in Excel.

For example simple dictionary table with Id and Name columns.

Enter Id = 1 in first cell, press right arrow, enter name, then press down arrow and lefr arrow, enter Id = 2, right arrow, enter another name etc.

Now every time I need to press Enter or F2 to begin edit cell. Is it possible to enter edit mode after cell got focus without pressing Enter or F2?

Well, HeidiSQL is not Excel. But the procedure is similar here: once you have a field in edit-mode, just tab or shift-tab through the neighbour fields.

You are wrong. Last version with this is 10.3.0.5771. After this version field in edit-mode, press tab or shift-tab the neighbor field is in read-mode. You must press Enter for edit-mode. This is uncomfortable when you must insert or edit more fields. Tab-Enter-insert content-Tab-Enter-...

I am looking for settings for this behavior. But unfortunately, I must stay on 10.3.0.5771. If you have any advice, please tell me how to setup actual release.

That is indeed a bug, see issue #937. What astrojohn meant was more like issue #988 - I guess that request came from him :)

Thanks for your explanation. I will have to wait for a bugfix and then upgrade to the new version.
