You should use one of the utf8_unicode collations to be fine with French. Should look like this in a table:

Then you should check your PHP code, it should either fire some SET NAMES utf8, or mysql_set_character_set($dbHandle, 'utf-8').

Hi Ansgar Hi have a new problem. I installed Heidi on a computer last week. Normaly I use root as password, or another one but always the same. None of those 2 work. What can I do to change that password, if possible? Or how can I completely uninstall Heidi, so it restarts with a new configuration?
