Heidi does not run if heidisql.com website is down

Hello, this morning I could not start HeidiSQL, when launched I could see the process running in background but no window appeared. I also tried to update it to the latest version but without success.

Then I realized that the whole https://www.heidisql.com website was down. How it is possible? I could not run it again until the website was back online. This should not happen!!

Maybe because I set Heidi to auto-update and send stats to the authors? If the main website is down HeidiSQL should run anyway.

Could you please fix it? Thank you!

You just have to wait 30s in such cases.

Disabling the update-check, usage statistics (and donation check if active) should fix it forever.

Thank you for your kind answer! I find the update-check a useful feature and I would like to keep it active, a nice solution could be to show a window informing on what's happening (and maybe also a "skip" button"), or to reduce the timeout to 10-15 secs, otherwise users could think there is some error.

Thanks again :-)
