Cant connect to Mysql with libmysqldb.dll , only with libmariadb.sql

tittle explais by itself.I am pretty sure i have mysql intalled on my debian distro. There is some explanation for this that i am missing on the community?

libmysqldb.dll? HeidiSQL is shipped with

  • a libmysql.dll,
  • a libmariadb.dll
  • and libmysql-6.1.dll

There are servers which cannot be connected using the (old) libmysql.dll, and in most cases libmariadb.dll is the best choice.
