Logging Area Displaying Junk Characters

This has started happening since the last update. The logs start ok but then turn to junk characters. I'm seeing this quite regularly after dropping tables and reloading. It was fine before. I have the portable version on Win 11, 64 bit,

Heidi version 12.8.0.6908

Indeed that looks really strange. Can you please post a screenshot of your logging preferences:

• in Tools > Preferences > Logging
• and in the session manager's "Advanced" tab (Log queries to file)

Here are the prefs. I have enabled the logs.

Please try the default values here:

• Set "Snip log lines to:" 2000 characters
• Disable "Write SQL log to file"
• Enable "Information messages"
• Disable "Debug messages"
