Suggestion to default field edits to de-selected mode initially

It would be helpful to have all field data be de-selected by default during the start of a field edit.

The problem is that upon placing a field in edit mode, while in the grid editor, the entire body of field data is initially automatically placed in a "selected" state (as if Ctrl+A were in effect). Thus, any inadvertent key press of even a single key, such as backspace key or an alpha key, accidentally overwrites the entire field contents instantly. Immediately pressing the undo or cancel key will recover the deleted field contents, however unless the overwrite is noticed in time, the overwrite may be committed and all the starting field data lost.

Suggestion: I would much prefer, and feel it would be far safer, to correct the default field editing to begin in normal de-selected mode. Then a manual selection highlight can subsequently be applied if and as needed.

I didn't find other posts relating to this issue. If I am overlooking an existing option or solution for this behavior I'd be happy to learn of it.

Thanks for the excellent program!

Sounds reasonable, as the shortcut Ctrl+A is there for people who want to overwrite all quick.
