Probably you have to refresh the tree, using F5, or the refresh button on the main toolbar.

Or your user account lacks the EVENT privilege? But in that case you likely already had problems when saving it.

You can fire the SQL manually, which HeidiSQL uses to retrieve events from the server:

SHOW EVENTS;
