Cant see new DB with a different user

Dear experts!

I created a new DB with the root-User. now I can only with the root user see the new db. Even though I put a entry into the DB mysql/db where all our other databases are listed and get their privilegs. So I did the exact same for my new database. Why cant I see it when I change the connection to the normal user?

Can anybody help me?

I wouldn't recommend to assign privileges by inserting stuff in the

mysql

database. HeidiSQL has a superb user manager, use that instead:
